Short answer
Google finds a business through three things: a fast, clearly structured website, content that answers real searches that include a town name, and an accurate Google Business Profile. Name, address and phone must match everywhere, and results are tracked in Search Console.
The Google Business Profile is a start, not the finish
Your Google profile is free and the fastest way to appear in local search. But opening it is not enough: it needs regular posts, photos and reviews from real customers. More on local SEO.
What Google looks at on your website
Three things: speed, content and structure. According to Google’s research, more than half of mobile visits are abandoned if a page takes longer than three seconds to load. Copy should contain the words customers search for, naturally and without lists of keywords. Structure, meaning headings, image descriptions and links, helps Google understand the page. A website build includes SEO foundations from day one.
Local SEO for Montenegrin towns
If you are in Podgorica, Budva or Kotor, you need to appear for searches that include the town name. Town pages, local links and reviews from customers in your area all help. See all 25 municipalities, and for industries see hotel websites or restaurant websites.
AEO and GEO: answers for AI assistants
More and more people ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Google’s AI answers instead of clicking a list of results. For those systems to mention you, the website needs clear answers to common questions, accurate prices and structured data (schema). This is part of the EUR 690 business website.
How much does SEO for a website cost?
For a website I build, the SEO, AEO and GEO groundwork is included in the business website from EUR 690: page structure, titles and descriptions, speed, structured data and a properly set up Google Business Profile. For an existing website the price is on request, because it depends on how much needs fixing. Be careful with offers that guarantee the first position on Google: nobody can guarantee a position, and Google itself warns about such promises.
Four things you can do yourself, today
Check that your business name, address and phone number are the same on the website, the Google profile and social media. Ask happy customers for a Google review and reply to every one, including the bad ones. Add real photos of your premises, team and work instead of stock images. For the questions customers most often ask by phone, write a short, clear answer on the website. None of this costs anything, and it helps both local search and the AI assistants that decide whom to recommend.
Measuring results
Without tracking you do not know what works. Google Analytics and Search Console are free tools that show which pages people open, which searches bring visits and where you lose customers. Check them at least once a month. Get in touch for help setting them up.
