A Facebook page is not a business website

Social media is a useful channel but a poor archive for your offer. Customers need one place where the details are always accurate.

Short answer

Facebook does not replace a website because posts sink in the feed, the page does not belong to you and Google rarely shows it for service searches. A website keeps the price, location and contact in one place, while Facebook and Instagram bring people to it.

Why is Facebook not enough?

Facebook is great for sharing content and talking to customers. But your page does not belong to you: Meta can change the rules, the algorithm or block you. A customer looking for your address, hours or prices does not want to dig through posts. They want one page with accurate details, which is what a website build gives you.

What do you lose without a website?

Google search: a customer searching for “restaurant [town]” finds a competitor’s website, not your Facebook page. Control over content: on Facebook you are limited by formats, while your own site can be a restaurant website with a menu, gallery and bookings. And a serious impression, which a business website gives and a social page does not.

The combination that works

The website as the central place for all information. Facebook and Instagram for sharing content and bringing people to the site. The Google Business Profile for local search. Together these three make a complete strategy, and local SEO ties them together.

The next step

If you have only worked through Facebook so far, it is time for a website. Start simply, with a simple website from EUR 300. Send an enquiry or see the pricing.
